Arsenal are reportedly one of three teams who have held talks over signing Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike in the summer transfer window.

In an attempt to prevent being caught short for a striker next season, it is understood that Arsenal will be making a centre-forward a priority in the summer. According to , the Gunners' hunt for a striker has already began in earnest with transfer executives at the club holding talks with Ekitike's agent.
The 22-year-old joined Eintracht Frankfurt permanently from PSG last summer after spending the second half of the campaign in Germany on loan. During his first full season in the Bundesliga, the striker has bagged 19 goals in all competitions including 13 in the Bundesliga.
These contributions have seen Frankfurt flourish in the Europa League and they sit third in the Bundesliga. While Arsenal are thought to have set out their vision for Ekitike, they are not the only team interested.
United and are also believed to have set out their case to sign the striker which could complicate matters. United's Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund have both struggled for goals this season while reports on Merseyside suggest that Darwin Nunez could be sold in the summer after his own struggles.
Currently, it is believed that a bid of £68m will be enough to encourage Frankfurt to sell in the summer transfer window. This would price the striker at the same level as Viktor Gyokeres and Victor Osimhen who are both four years older than Ekitike.
