Rishabh Pant dismissed for 3 in 9 balls against RR

Send Push

It was yet another day for Rishabh Pant to shine during the mega clash between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Rajasthan Royals (RR), but it seems luck is not favouring Pant and his team. On Saturday, April 19, the LSG captain, who was roped in for 27 crore, the most expensive player in the Indian Premier League (IPL) so far, once again showed an underwhelming performance and ended up scoring three off nine balls against RR.

Not only this, but off the very first ball, Pant could have walked back home if there had not been a thin edge that saved him from an LBW shout. The 27-year-old batsman, from then on, looked like a fish out of water, who was unable to get any meaningful contact on the ball.

Pant managed to score just 3 runs off 9 balls before being dismissed by Wanindu Hasaranga in the 8th over, which has once again sparked a meme fest about Pant’s poor performance.

For Rishabh Pant, the tournament has been a nightmare so far. As per stats, the LSG captain could manage to secure only 106 runs at an average of 15.14 and a strike rate of 89.08.

The numbers are unimaginable for a player of his capability, and because of the same, fans can’t keep calm and shared their thoughts on X (formerly called Twitter).
