Vaibhav Suryavanshi scripts IPL history

Vaibhav Suryavanshi, born in 2011, made history by becoming the first player born after the IPL's inception in 2008 to feature in the tournament. He replaced injured Rajasthan captain Sanju Samson as an Impact Substitute against Lucknow Super Giants.

Vaibhav rose to fame with impressive performances in age-group cricket, breaking records as the youngest player in List A cricket and Ranji Trophy debutant at 12 years and 284 days. Rajasthan Royals signed him for Rs 1.10 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction, backing their ethos of investing in young talent.
