Tempers flared during the high-voltage Delhi Capitals versus Royal Challengers Bengaluru clash on Sunday, April 27. and KL Rahul got involved in a war of words during the second innings of the encounter at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi in Match 46 of IPL 2025.
RCB bowlers had a superb outing in the first innings after Rajat Patidar won the toss and opted to field first. They executed their plans commendably and kept veteran batters like KL Rahul and Faf du Plessis in check, even after they had spent a decent amount of time at the crease. Despite swashbuckling cameos from Abishek Porel and Tristan Stubbs, the home side could only manage 162/8 in their 20 overs.
In reply, RCB lost three wickets early, with only 26 runs on the board after four overs. Kohli dropped anchor with Krunal Pandya for company. While DC were looking to choke the experienced batters in the middle overs, interesting visuals were seen as Rahul and Kohli had a heated exchange. The RCB stalwart initiated the conversation by saying something to Rahul, who was getting ready to keep wickets.
The Karnataka wicketkeeper-batter responded while sporting a helpless expression. The exact topic of discussion isn't clear, but things certainly heated up for a brief while before play resumed.

Kohli continued taking RCB towards the target, with Krunal playing the aggressor's role. The southpaw scored his half-century with a four in the 15th over. He got to the milestone off just 38 deliveries. Kohli was more cautious in his approach, and he registered his fifty off 45 balls.
After Kohli was dismissed in the 18th over by Dushmantha Chameera, Tim David played a scintillating cameo to take RCB to victory with six wickets and nine balls to spare. However, Krunal was the pick of the batters, remaining unbeaten on 73 off 47 balls. RCB moved to the top of the points table with this win, and became the first team to bag 14 points in the ongoing edition of the marquee tournament.
