Reliance Industries-Walt Disney JV JioStar reported a net profit of Rs 229 crore for FY25 since November 14, 2024 merger, on revenues of Rs 10,006 crore.
The media conglomerate's operational revenue stood at Rs 9,497 crore with Rs 774 crore EBITDA and 7.7% EBITDA margin.
The results come as JioStar's digital platform JioHotstar crossed 100 million paid users within 5 weeks of its February 14 launch, reaching 503 million monthly active users in March 2025.
Sports properties drove engagement, with IPL 2025 delivering 1.4 billion digital views (+35% YoY) and Champions Trophy finals setting a 61.2 million peak concurrency record. The consolidated Star Sports network now operates 24 channels including regional feeds.
On the entertainment side, JioHotstar's live streams of Mahashivratri (39 million views) and Coldplay concert (8.3 million views) performed strongly, while Star Plus maintained leadership in Hindi GEC with 6 of top 10 shows. Regional channels Star Maa, Pravah and Jalsha continued market dominance.
JioStar commands 34% share of India's TV entertainment market and reaches 760 million viewers monthly.
The results mark JioStar's first financial disclosure since the $8.5 billion Reliance-Disney merger that created India's largest media entity.
