Air India on Wednesday announced the cancellation of all its flights to and from Jammu, Srinagar, Leh, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Chandigarh and Rajkot till 12 noon following a sharp escalation in tensions between India and Pakistan after India’s precision military retaliation under Operation Sindoor,
Additionally, two international flights to Amritsar are being diverted to Delhi. The airline expressed regret for the inconvenience and issued helpline numbers for further information.

IndiGo also issued a travel advisory indicating that flights to and from Srinagar, Jammu, Amritsar, Leh, Chandigarh, Dharamshala, and Bikaner are impacted due to changing airspace conditions in the region.

Adding to the disruption, SpiceJet announced that several airports in northern India, including Dharamshala, Leh, Jammu, Srinagar, and Amritsar have been closed until further notice. Departures, arrivals, and connecting flights are likely to be affected, and passengers are advised to check flight status before traveling, said the airline.
Other international operations have also been impacted. Qatar Airways temporarily suspended flights to Pakistan due to the closure of Pakistani airspace. The airline said that it is closely monitoring the situation and has stated it will continue to prioritise the safety of passengers and crew.
