Ingredients for making the oil:
100 grams of dried amla (seeded)
500 ml of pure coconut oil
1 medium-sized steel or glass container
Sieve or fine cloth
Method for making the oil:
First, clean the dried amla. If you have fresh amla, wash them, cut them into small pieces, and dry them in the sun for a few days. Dried gooseberries easily release their properties into the oil.
Start heating coconut oil in a pan or saucepan. Heat the oil over medium heat.
When the oil is slightly warm, add the dried gooseberry pieces. Be careful not to overheat the oil, as the gooseberry's nutrients may be destroyed.
Let the oil and gooseberry mixture simmer over low heat for about 10-15 minutes. You will notice the gooseberry color beginning to appear in the oil, and the gooseberry will turn black. After this, turn off the heat and let the mixture cool.
When the oil has cooled completely, strain the oil into a clean bottle or jar using a clean sieve or a fine muslin cloth. You can also squeeze the remaining gooseberry pieces thoroughly to extract the oil.
How to use gooseberry oil?
Lightly warm the oil and massage it thoroughly into your scalp with your fingertips. Massaging improves blood circulation, and the warmth of the oil helps it penetrate deep into the pores.
 
   After applying the oil, leave it on for at least 45 minutes or overnight. Then, wash your hair with a mild shampoo.
For best results, massage with this oil 2-3 times a week.
