Conor Maynard engaged after paternity row with Traitors star

Conor Maynardhas revealed he is engaged in a sweet Instagram announcement. It comes months after he was locked in a paternity row with The Traitors star Charlotte Chilton.

Singer Conor, 32, shared his latest news on social media as his partner showed off the glamorous ring as he kissed her cheek. "Happy Birthday to my FIANCÉE!!!," he gushed. "I’m ready to take on forever with you."

His YouTuber brother was among his followers sharing congratulatory messages. Jack wrote: "Woohoo!! Congratulations." Willy William also wrote: "Congrats bro, god bless U and your fiancé."

"Couldn’t be happier," wrote another while adding three red love heart emojis. "Congratulations you lovely pair xxxxx" And another thrilled follower penned: "Best news everrr!!! Congrats both so so happy for you xx"

Conor also took to his Instagram Stories to share a video of the moment his new fiancee, Kitty Bertrand, was surprised by loved ones who congratulated the pair on the news.

She was quickly hugged by those closest to her as Earth, Wind and Fire played in the background. Kitty looked overjoyed with the occasion.

The news comes after The Traitors star Charlotte Chilton requested Conor Maynard to take another DNA test after claiming he is the father to her baby. However, the result left her "shell shocked".

She gave birth to her first child last year, a daughter named Penelope, and said Conor was the dad.

While Charlotte was pregnant, Conor didn't address the public claims. However, he issued a statementrevealing the results of a DNA test in March.

Setting the record straight over his paternity and 'dead beat dad' claims, he confirmed he is not father of Charlotte's child. Charlotte and Conor briefly dated following their encounter at a club on the night of The Traitors ' final event.

Following the second paternity test, singer Conor shared a statement saying: "Today I received the results of a second paternity test, which was requested by Charlotte Chilton regarding her baby girl, Penelope.

"As with the last test, this test has confirmed again that I am not Penelope's father. As Charlotte requested, Penelope's, Charlotte's and my DNA were all taken at a Ministry of Justice accredited DNA testing facility that was selected by Charlotte.

"The results are therefore conclusive. This has been difficult for me and my family, and I'm so grateful for everyone's support. I'm glad we can now finally draw a line under this. I sincerely hope these results mean we can all find a way to move on with our lives. Conor."
