Conor Maynard vows to 'tell his side of the story' after Charlotte Chilton baby drama

The singer is believed to have met Charlotte following the filming of , which she starred on alongside eventual winner Harry Clark. Harry is dating influencer Anna Maynard, who is Conor's sister.

and that she had reached out to him after learning she was pregnant. She had said she'd tried to be in touch with Conor but he had failed to respond, which left her in a dark place.

"I'm always torn with what's best for the baby. For me and my mental health, and the damage that Conor has done to me, I absolutely wouldn't want him in my life. But, I'm an adult and I understand what I've entered into here and if that's how it has to be then I have to suck it up and put her first," she said on the show.

"I would like it for her at some point in her life, but I don't think there's really much point at this stage, but in the future maybe - that might be nice for her. But it's got to be all Penelope's decision."

However, back in March, Conor put out a statement to say

He wrote at the time: "Earlier this week, I took a paternity test regarding Charlotte Chilton's baby girl, Penelope, in the presence of her legal representative. Today I've received the test results which confirm that I am not Penelope's father.

"I am glad that the speculation can finally be put to an end. All I would ask is that people act with kindness in response to this news - there is a child at the heart of all of this and that should not be forgotten. I wish Charlotte and her family all the best. Conor."

Conor has made a string of sporadic posts on social media posts since, including one with his girlfriend He wrote alongside the snap of them in front of their house.

He also shared a second picture of a volcano photoshopped into the back, writing: "On to a new chapter.. (the photo was taken on a grey, miserable day so I edited the sky.. I wanted to use the second slide but Kitty wouldn’t let me)."

Conor has now taken to social media to reveal he is releasing new music. Alongside a promotional video for his track Runaway Man, he shared: "I know I’ve been kinda quiet this past year.. I guess it’s time to start telling my side of the story."
