Good Morning Britain fans issued the same complaint as they branded the show "unwatchable".

During Wednesday's (August 20) episode of the ITV programme, hosts Adil Ray and Kate Garraway delivered the latest news from across the UK and around the world.

Sean Fletcher was also in the studio to present the rest of the day's news, while Laura Tobin was on hand to share regular weather updates.

Kate and Adil updated viewers on asylum seekers facing eviction from hotels, and the added service charge that comes with buying a pint at a bar.

They also met a mother campaigning for more restrictions for young drivers after her 17-year-old son was killed, along with his three teenage friends, in a devastating car crash.

However, the show's viewers were quickly left frustrated by the choice of presenters and a heated debate on the government's asylum hotel plans.

"I can usually watch this but this is just unwatchable," one person wrote on X (formerly Twitter), with another adding: "45 minutes of ITV nonsense."

A third said: "Goodness, the show is a tough listen these days," with a fourth viewer similarly sharing: "Kate and Adil, thanks for the heads up, time to turn over. No chance."

A fifth fan echoed the sentiment, saying: "GMB is so out of touch with the views of the British public, that's why GMB is sinking quicker than the Titanic."

The news comes after ITV viewers "switched off" just minutes into GMB earlier this week.

Adil returned to the show after several weeks away, with several fans sharing their frustrations.

The Citizen Khan star was also involved in a tense interview with Joey Essex after he took several brutal swipes at the reality star.

Adil notably called Joey a "baked bean" ahead of his upcoming boxing debut, before questioning how much money he'd receive for taking part in the match.

Fans quickly took to social media to share their discomfort, with one person writing: "I've just watched the worst interview ever recorded on TV. Adil Ray trying to be funny and belittling Joey Essex. Cringe."

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX at 6am
