The expert captioned the video post: "Professional cleaner's limescale removal secret. This took me less than five minutes." The cleaning pro recommended using a scraper to remove any stubborn limescale and pointed out how to use it properly.
They said: "Make sure you use a proper scraper that takes razor blades. You'll need to change them out regularly to get a great finish.
"Your average cleaning/oven scraper just won't be sharp enough for this job. I find you get a better result with a DIY scraper that takes razor blades. You'll never waste time scrubbing limescale again!"
Taking to the comments section, some followers were concerned over whether a razor would scratch and damage a shower screen.
The cleaner replied: "Not at all. I guess if you really tried with a corner of the blade, you could, but I've never had it do that when I'm scraping off limescale."
In the video, the expert uses a razor dry and scrapes off the limescale before going in with a wet microfibre cloth to wipe down the screen.
Another natural product the expert has suggested on their social media to descale shower screens is baking paper.
They said: "You need to use baking paper, not grease-proof paper. The reason this works is because baking paper has a silicon coating, which you are rubbing onto your shower door.
"This is why the water will run right off for weeks! Greaseproof paper does not have this same coating.
"If in doubt, look at the back of the box, and it will say if it contains silicone. Also, be sure you are using the correct side of the paper - make your ball with the shiny side up!"
