Meghan Markle was blasted by viewers after she appeared to interrupt her pal during her recent outing in the US. The Duchess of Sussex made a surprise appearance on Thursday when she was snapped at a bookstore event near her Montecito home. She attended an event at Godmothers bookstore in Summerland, which was live-streamed, and sat on a panel with her friend, author Courtney Adamo.
But there was a moment during which the Duchess appeared to correct her pal when she was holding her microphone too far away, and Meghan brought it closer to her face, which some fans described as "rude" and "awkward". One user said on X: "Awkward moment Meghan Markle interrupts bookstore speaking event to correct how her friend holds the microphone. Is she trying to be over smart?" Another one said: "So incredibly rude, and yet so typical."
But others loved her appearance overall, with one fan saying on Instagram: "She's slaying right now," and another one added: "While Meghan is enjoying life, the royal scandal in Britain is raging on. Keep shining Meghan."
