presenter Gareth Barlow was forced to halt his regular news programme and issue a breaking news announcement over Putin and Ukraine. According to the channel, the Kremlin has said the war in Ukraine is too complicated to be resolved immediately. It comes after the Russian President announced that a three-day ceasefire will commence on May 8, which marks 's Victory Day and the end of the Second World War. Meanwhile, President claimed Putin had committed "2,000 violations" and called on the ceasefire to be extended for 30 days.
The Kremlin stated that President Vladimir Putin is open to peace and intense work is under way to achieve it, but a solution will not come as fast as America wants it to.
Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, "What we are doing - the special military operation, all of Putin's decisions - are absolutely correct. And it is our duty to be victorious."
He added, "We understand that Washington is willing to achieve a quick success in this process, but at the same time we hope for understanding that the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis is too complicated [a process] to be done overnight, there are lots of details and lots of small things that need to be tackled before the settlement."
It comes after 's latest ceasefire offer, which was just after President appeared to turn on his Russian counterpart, finally.

Earlier this week, the Kremlin stated via Reuters News, " believes the Ukrainian side should follow this example. In the event of violations of the truce by the Ukrainian side, the Russian armed forces will give an adequate and effective response." They also said it would respond to any "violations". The previous ceasefire took place during Easter, less than two weeks ago.
Since Putin's announcement, there has been no immediate reply from the Ukrainian side.
