Shillong: Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) has declared the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) 2025 examination results, achieving an impressive 87% success rate. A total of 341 schools recorded a 100% pass rate, marking a remarkable milestone for the state.
Leisha Agarwal from St Margaret's Higher Secondary School, Shillong, and Avila Kathrene P Lyngdoh from North Liberty Higher Secondary School, Jowai, shared the top position, while 35 students secured ranks within the top 10.
The second rank was jointly held by Evanshan Nongrum of Sacred Heart Boys' Higher Secondary School, Shillong, and Pori Panday of Jawaharlal Nehru Higher Secondary School, Phulbari, Garo Hills. Sourav Pandey of Alpha English Higher Secondary School, Nongpoh, secured the third rank.
Out of the 63,682 students who appeared for the exam, 55,473 successfully cleared it.
In a statement, MBOSE credited this year's exceptional performance to the students' dedication, a revised question pattern, and the CM IMPACT Guidebook, which served as a vital resource for students lacking access to quality study materials.
In his message to the successful students, chief minister Conrad K Sangma said, "Many congratulations to the students who passed with flying colours in the SSLC, MBOSE examinations."
