Itanagar: A police team from Naharlagun, led by officer-in-charge Krishnendu Dev and supervised by SDPO Rishi Longdo, arrested two drug peddlers and seized heroin weighting 12.5 grams from their possession at Nyigam Colony in Itanagar on Friday.
The arrested individuals have been identified as 24-year-old Hage Opo and 19-year-old Mom Riche Dorjee, said Naharlagun SP Mihin Gambo. The raid resulted in the seizure of heroin (10 vials), 51 tablets of Nitcor-10 (Nitrazepam 10mg), a used syringe, and three pistol-shaped lighters with concealed knives, in the presence of executive magistrate Khoda Bath.
A case has been registered in this regard, SP Gambo said, emphasising the ongoing commitment to strict action against drug trafficking and urged the public to share credible information on such activities in the Itanagar capital region.
