Jaipur: From Monday, a weekly one-hour public hearing will start at RTO Jaipur (I) to resolve pending issues of residents. All district transport officers (DTOs) will also participate in the public hearing where all cases will be registered online on the Sampark portal so that the affected individuals can track the resolution process.
Officials said that at the public hearings, to be held from 11am till 12pm, people will be able to raise complaints related to the transport department's office, and efforts will be made to resolve their issues on the spot. This initiative has been named 'Samasya Se Samadhan'.
"For the first time, a significant step is being taken by the RTO office to directly address people's problems, so that they do not have to get their work done through brokers and pay unnecessary charges," said a senior official.
Several complaints were made in the past regarding the brokerage system prevalent in the transport department, due to which residents had to pay additional charges.
