Farah Khan’s film 'Tees Maar Khan', released in 2010, also grabbed attention for the hit song 'Sheila Ki Jawani', featuring Katrina Kaif in a striking appearance. Farah Khan choreographed the song, while Sunidhi Chauhan’s powerful vocals earned her several accolades for Best Female Playback Singer. The music was composed by Vishal-Shekhar, and the song continues to be a favourite at weddings and parties. Farah recently revealed that this mega-hit track was actually created on a shoestring budget.

Farah about budget of movies and songs
The revelation came during a candid conversation at actress Manasi Parekh’s home. The filmmaker visited her for a vlog and discussed their collaboration on the upcoming film Shubhchintak. When Manasi mentioned that the film was made with a modest budget of Rs 5 crore, Farah was taken aback. “It doesn’t look like a film made on such a small budget. In today’s time, a song’s budget is more than your entire film’s budget,” she said.
Farah opens up about the making cost of Sheila Ki Jawani
Farah shared her own experience: “When someone boasts to me that they made their song on a huge budget, it doesn’t impress me. I believe the smaller your budget, the better you think. The cheapest song of my life is Sheila Ki Jawani.”
This confession left Manasi and fellow actor Swapnil Joshi visibly stunned. Farah explained, “We didn’t have any set for it. All we had were these 10 dancers. We finished shooting the entire song in just three and a half days. It is the cheapest song I’ve done and the biggest hit of my career. One of the top three or four hits.”
