NEW DELHI: The leader of opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi took the plunge -- literally -- trading his speeches for for splashes as he dove into a Begusarai pond , fishing nets, cameras, and plenty of attention following close behind. As a part of his poll campaign for Bihar elections, the Congress leader participated in the traditional fish-catching process with the locals on Sunday.
Mahagathbandhan's deputy CM face, Mukesh Sahani, Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar, among others were also present.
After his "dance for votes" remark regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi drew criticism from the BJP, Rahul repeated his remarks saying that PM "can do anything for votes, tell him to do yoga, he will do few asanas."
Targeting PM Modi's "reels" remarks, he called it a move to divert youth's attention "so that they don't raise questions on unemployment."
Moreover, he again questioned Donald Trump's repeated claims of India-Pakistan truce and said: "On the other hand, we have Narendra Modi with his boast of a 56-inch chest, who got a panic attack when Trump called him during Operation Sindoor, and the military conflict with Pakistan ended in two days. He is not just scared of Trump, but is also being remote-controlled by Ambani and Adani."
The Congress leader's remarks came at an election rally in Begusarai district of Bihar.
