Panambur: The luxury cruise ship MS Norwegian Sky docked at the New Mangalore Port, marking the arrival of the fifth cruise liner of the season.
Sailing under the Bahamas flag, the cruise ship brought in 1,876 passengers and 861 crew members. The 258.6-metre-long vessel is part of a route covering ports in Galé, Kochi, Mangaluru, Goa, Mumbai, and Abu Dhabi. It arrived in Mangaluru from the Kochi port.
NMPA Deputy Chairperson S. Shanthi welcomed the ship’s master with a memento. MRPL Managing Director M. Shyam Prasad Kamath was present and appreciated the arrangements.
To offer guests a taste of local culture, Yakshagana and Bharatanatyam performances were organised. Tourists visited popular spots including Karkala Gomateshwara, the Thousand Pillar Basadi in Moodbidri, Saanz Farm, Kadri Temple, Gokarnanath Temple, and local markets.
