Heatwave Alert in Madhya Pradesh: Mercury Soars to 44°C, Five Districts on High Warning Today

BHOPAL — April 20, 2025: Madhya Pradesh is in the grip of a severe heatwave as temperatures continue to climb across the state. On Sunday, Shivpuri recorded the highest temperature at 44°C, making it the hottest location in the state. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave warning for Ratlam, Damoh, Sagar, Sidhi, and Shivpuri, urging residents to take precautions against extreme heat.

The IMD has predicted rising temperatures and dry winds over the next few days, warning that more districts may come under the influence of the ongoing heatwave.
